Last weekend ZoCal showed what can be done in Z scale. Just uploaded a video I made starring Henri's new module. People galore are seen all over the module. Also seen are the new 53' AZL well cars with the awesome graphics on the end of the containers.

What an AWESOME Module! I love the crossing gates, and the farm is just too cool! And the orange trees with oranges on the ground are so realistic! I would love to see more of this module! :D

Don't mean to nitpick on Z, but are the 53' containers out of proportion or is it just me? Every time I look at the ZoCal layout (which is, I believe, one of the best Z club layouts in the country), I like looking at the intermodal trains, and it always bothers me...The 53' containers seem to look too short (height-wise), especially when stacked on top of a 40-footer. I know that 48' and 53' containers are all hi-cube, which means they are 9' high, as opposed to the standard 8' height of most other containers. Are these scratchbuilt containers or are they commercially-available ones? (I'm an N-scaler so I don't really know who makes what in the Z-scale world).

The video is very well done and the quality is very good! Seeing those faces in the backround is as much fun as seeing the trains.

AZL is well known for making their products to scale. I have four different kinds (manufacturers) of containers and they are all the same height. The pins don't always align from one brand to another, but a 53' container is the same size (height and length) across the the different makes of containers.
Thanks for the compliment of the ZoCal layout. Make sure to see the Baz Boyz layouts also. Pretty nice modules too.
Just wait till NTS! Definite video being shot there!
