OC, I think they look awesome in every respect! I have often admired the layout ready palm trees that our local shop stocks and they look nice but seem to be missing something. They use feathers for the fronds but in truth are perhaps a little 'too' perfect, if that makes sense. Your mix of materials have nailed it I'd say. Charlie
Beautiful work, Jerry! From what little I remember of palm trees, I recall the inner leaves being brown and dead. Knowing you, you already have this considered, and have the coconuts already attached! When I saw the thread title, I thought you were discussing a favorite beverage of mine....
Excellent work Jerry! Those look just like the ones seen around the Bay Area. One nice thing you can do for those that don't turn out as well is to dress them up with a little wire and styrene and make them look like those cheesy fake palm tree cell towers!
OC those trees that you made look great. JTT makes some nice one. There is a Chinese guy that sells some on Ebay dozen for about a dollar.
