Un-patched SP 5387 just had its speed lettering removed and 'ATN' lettering added. :(

Bummer. Nice to see the Speed Lettering last as long as it did, but I don't blame the current owner for wanting its name represented, not a fallen flag.

there goes the last unpatched SP SD40-2T. I was very lucky to see it in summer 2009. I traveled more than 2000 miles to see this locmotive! will post some pic after I get home

Shouldn't be too terribly bad to build in N scale--the handwheel brake is different than the intermountain model, as is the unusual MARS lite. A block of about ten Tunnel Motors got the oddball MARS lite nose treatment. Notice the weird box it is mounted in, and it's lower on the nose than most D&RGW units were. Not sure how to build that, if I were to try. Undec would be the way to go, to avoid surgery on a painted model.
