Was this the show at the Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, OH? I used to go every year but the last two years were very dismal so this year I didn't go.

I went to this show yesterday. It was at Lakeland Community College. Great show by the way. Very nice operating layouts especially the n scale layouts. I picked up some great bargains of n scale stuff.

I wasn’t there, but I thought that light house photo was interesting. I’ve never seen anything like that in n-scale. I just might have to look around for more layouts like that.

I spoke with the gentleman who built the light house module. It even lit up. I think he said it was an old Kibri kit? Then he said a couple of the boats were from Thomas the tank engine with the eyes patched over? He had little scuba divers on the one boat also. Both N scale layouts were absolutely creative in what these guys had modeled. Very nice club layouts. I was speaking to a couple friends of mine in the Burning River N scale club and they introduced me to one club member. He had an autorack train with painted on graffiti on his autoracks. I would of swore they were the decals available of graffiti in n scale. Everyone in both clubs were very friendly and knowledgable with all questions I had.

Well if you liked those layouts then plan on attending the Ohio N Scale Weekend in Columbus, OH on May 14-15 at the Franklin County fairgrounds off of I 270. There will be about 10-12 layouts + venders and the best part is that it is all N Scale, No O, No HO, just N. Its great! That will wet your appetite for the original N Scale Weekend in Bedford, PA the last weekend in August. Same deal as the Ohio one. The Ohio one is patterned after the one in Bedford. Both are easy to get to via Interstate and Turnpikes. Both of these are absolutely must do's for our club.

These are interesting shots to me, because I'm a member of Burning River! I hope you enjoyed our layout. The show was pretty nice, a good selection of regular N scale vendors, but some of the other displays from the RR historical societies and museums were pretty neat as well. I was able to snag a California Zephyr and 2 E8s cheap, and they run great.
