I suppose I could do something foolish to celebrate the date. But I won't. Anyway, here is a "brand new" out of the paint shop BNSF Heritage paint scheme along with an old ATSF cub scout pulling a local. Kind of modern stuff for this old steam head.
My new Bachmann GP7 pulling the new nScale.net "Group Project" car across my new (unfinished) diorama...
"Cool" street scene, Candy. Crandell, that's a handsome loco. Great shot, Bruce. It's opening day of trout season at Hammer Creek. DJ.
The firehouse is done for the most part. Lighting is in as well as on a couple more buildings on the block. Skylight removed so you can see the interior better.
Larry's Truck and Electric. Not specific but the paint generally follows a series of SD40-2s owned by that leasing company. I like the snoot noses.
A UP manifest Assults the grade between Bealville and Allard. its helpers are shoving hard at the rear. At Bealville, another UP manifest heads southbound. A re-routed Coast Starlight gets some help from a Santa Fe GP35. In actuality, the 2 athearn P42's couldn't haul the train, so we took a chance that my two GP30's could haul my manifest by themselves, and sent the Athearn GP35 back to give him a hand.
Spring cleaning It's a frosty April morning in Hill City. The long Minnesota winter seems to finally be ending, which means it's time to open the warehouse up and give it a good cleaning. At least one of the doors seems to be stuck, Louie's really putting his back into getting it open.
gorge-ous view Seven of the 200+ floral wire & green twine trees my daughter & I are twirling in the drill. These first ones are a bit full: will get moved to the interior as forest filler as better ones roll off the assembly line. Nice to finally have trees on the layout: was pining for them for too long.
Absolutely great shot! I love seeing tall rock walls, gorges, etc, with the tracks cut through, as in real life
Heading home #506 departs Hill City (passing some new scenery on the way), after dropping off a reefer and boxcar...
Spent some time down at the Olean Yard on my friends Olean, Bradford and Warren Railroad. B & P GP9 202 is sorting some cars while a Pennsy Trainmaster waits. (B&P engine mine, can't take any credit for the modeling!)
