Welcome back! Since I was playing hooky last week in the German Alps on vacation, I figured I better cover 2 weeks worth this time around. Here goes nothing... The James Whitcomb Riley makes an appearance thanks to Flashwave: A great shot of Bridges & Trestles, CMStP&P's proud lady the Hiawatha struts her stuff nearing Loop Creek: The extreme weathering on this trestle caught my eye, as it did the Seagull, who left its "mark" on MisterBeasley's structure: There goes Jon Grant, taking prototype photos of a Weathered Boxcar, and trying to pass them off as model photos again.... Were it not for the Kadee trip pins, I would not have thought this was a model! Don't touch that dial, there's a bunch more to come!
Cont'd: Hey, I saw that! I said don't touch that dial! Wolfgang Dudler's Silver Creek flows gently under twin trestles as trains pass slowly overhead: MOPMAN's GP9 1843 goes about its workaday grind, shuffling hoppers of grain along the banks of an Ozark river: A pastoral scene in Hytec's Saucier Village greets the daily passenger train: Maandg shared a fantastic interior shot of his Roundhouse Ceiling that I could have mistaken for the real thing: More still to come!
Cont'd: It's r_i_straw's UP passenger train, the City of... Everywhere! It must be a killer crossing, as I spotted no less that 3 roadside crosses near the tracks on Flash Blackman's shot of Bill Eubanks Countryside: A well-worn, ready for retirement Rail Whale rolls along the Pinole courtesy of OC Engineer JD: John Bartolotto must have microscopic eyes to see the details on his Z scale Freightliner:
I might have saved this one for last, because only someone like me would scale the side of a mountain, high above a tunnel, to bag a shot like COverton's Seneca Gorge: That's all for this week, folks! See you next time!
Another excellent set! The roundhouse interior is absolutely fantastic. I love those shots. You're right, JonGrant's boxcar almost had me wondering why a prototype photo was posted until I saw the couplers... fine testimony to the quality of his work! And hats off to the rest of the featured modelers. Fine work all around.
Great modelling and nice shots. The roundhouse and the whale are amazing. BTW, thx for throwing in Saucier Village.
Mister Beasley your weathering is amazing! Some really great pictures! Wolfgang your stuff is as always awesome. I love how we see the passenger just kinda rolling along wondering " Are we there yet?"
That roundhouse picture is just WAY TOO COOL! Looks like you took a picture inside a REAL roundhouse! GREAT MODELING!
Week's Pictures What a great set of photos, I was particularly taken by the evocation of the Saucier Village scene.:tb-biggrin:
Wow, an honor to be included in that, and with such a blurry picture, at least compared to everyone else. EDIT: Heh, I jsut noticed I caught the smoke plume.
Thanks for including a photo that I took. I always like this thread as it brings to my attention what other folks are doing. Excellent shots everyone.
