hello on two of my lifelike gp9u the handrails have pieces broken off. of course i'd like to fix them. does anyone know where i can order handrails ? preferably in cp rail colors. seems like no one has these parts.
I don't have parts but I have the same situation. I was trying to think of a solution other than replacement parts. I have made brass handrails but they certainly do not match the existing LL handrails. I have old Concor handrails and I did use those as the end rails on one LL project where the handrails had been destroyed. But, other than that, I have no solution. Of course the LL handrails are styrene, so perhaps some type of styrene strips might make a patch. [edit 1] I checked Spookshow. Your engine may not have the styrene handrails depending on the release.
There is a way to repair the handrails using liquid tape made for electricians. I have used it with great success. A little goes a long way. When it dries it is extremely strong and it has "memory". The handrails in the pic below can be bent at the repaired joints and it will spring back to the original dried position. It is also paintable.
which sections are you missing , long hood , short hood , front , rear ? I have a L.L. GP-9 I used for parts and may have the handrails yet .
