Welcome back to my favorite thread! It is not only a privilige to present this thread every week, it is an honor to showcase TrainBoard's best and brightest! First up is the smallest fire extinguisher I have ever seen scratchbuilt--I wonder if John Warren's Fire Extinguisher is at least a 2A-10BC type? Jon Grant is a regular on this thread, and his latest scene, IMG_9393 is finely detailed--from the scenery materials to the towing clevises on the Chevy truck's bumper: Imagine rocking gently side to side at the train negotiates low rail joints, and you're trying to slow a train on Tracy McKibben's Brakeman's Perspective: Mikelhh is also a regular, and for good reason. I love the reflection from MEC #801 on the wind-agitated water: Don't you go nowhere, ya hea'? There' more coming shortly!
Cont'd: Next up is a modified InterMountain caboose, courtesy of Barlowfaudio. ATSF 999257 has been detailed, repainted, windows redone, and it looks great: All aboard Extra 462 West!! Thanks to Wolfgang Dudler, the Rio Grande comes alive once again: Not visible in this view, but the ends of the cars say "Do Not Hump" on this heavily modified set of ram53's TTX Maxi III 40' rebuilds: More yet to come! Stay tuned!
One of the coolest models I have ever seen, thanks to rati we have siamese Turntables! Yes, Virginia, there is a prototype (in Hamburg, Germany): BerNd shared a bunch of scene from the Schutterwald 2011 show. Here comes the Southern's beautiful Crescent: That's all for this week, see you soon!!
Thank you Hemi for choosing mine. Siamese turntables! Who would've thought? Amazing. Great selection - I like them all. Mike
How humbling! Not only was my photo chosen, but in the same week as one of Mike's best yet... Thanks!
Another good set this week. Mike's shot is great. And siamese turntables (or conjoined...?)... who woulda thunkit?
Thankyou very much for including my caboose. fyi on the IM window treatment, if you drill them in the middle with a small drill they pop right out. Opening then filled with Kristal Klear. Craig
Yikes! If asked to pick just one of these, I will flatly state such a task is impossible! Superb work, everyone! Boxcab E50
Many thanks for the choice of my double turntable. Here there is still a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PF5VfTJIsI&feature=channel_video_title Rainer
It is a very nicely curated selection. I found all of those worth looking at. And there is even some euro train action YAY! Thanks!
