Standby and save your bucks, fully indexed turntable, roundhouse and machine shop, some additional structures: back of brewery, coaling station. passenger and freight station, modular factory buildings. Rob Prototrack
Thank goodness my next layout only has a couple buildings... ...Cuz D&RGW tunnel motors are coming this summer in 6 new numbers! Thanks for the info, Rob!
I like the moduler wall stuff. Just hope Walther's does a better job of keeping it in stock, than the stuff they already don't have in stock.
Each time I saw the AD for the HO Walthers Modular I said... "WHAT ABOUT N!!!" Guess they heard me...
The modulars are an item they should keep in stock. As I recall, DPM modulars didn't do well in N scale and sort of disappeared. I hope Walthers does better in sales, because modulars are a key to us urban modelers.
The DPM modular are still available. You can order directly from DPM if you want (no discount and high shipping). I would think that any dealer could get them. I looked at the Walthers modulars that are available in HO and personally, I like the DPM ones a lot better. The DPM ones seem to be much more generic and can look like many different buildings according to how you assemble them. I probably will get a few of the Walthers ones just to try them out. All in all, more is better for N scale. Variety is the spice of life (in your N scale city)!
