Never saw them before but yesterday in the midst of a constant river of intermodal trains running east across the Belen Cutoff on one well car I saw 2 J.B. Hunt 20' containers.
Did not see any others so I'm wondering if these are new or an anomoly?
Does anyone out there definitavely know?

Also noted three new schemes on other containers. One featured U Line packaging (we use their products) the other two had "Intermodal" under the Hunt logo; one in green, the other in black.

I saw a few of those too...running thru Flagstaff last month. Except they where trailers. Both had "Intermodal" below the J.B. Hunt name/Logo.

    Just like this one....

Although...I see they have Intermodal on their containers too...hmmmm

I've never seen the 20 footers, but I saw the Intermodal variation back in February. By coincidence, today I started decalling some Kato containers with some home-made decals, so I still had my reference picture handy.

The top one is a container on a chassis. The Interbox connector at the corners gives it away.

Actually, that's a container on a chassis! Note the IBC holes spaced 40' apart at the top.

It's just a re-branding, especially to international customers (now that 48' containers can go overseas).

Never seen 20 foot JB Hunt containers, and we get lots of containers around here.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for these.

I haven't seen 20' ones but have seen the new 53' reefer containers.

Last weekend, railfanning in Wisconsin just north of La Crosse. We spotted four intermodals in three days, with nothing but these things on the BNSF...

Around my neck of the woods I see hundreds of these containers go by, even entire trains of them, but I've never seen a JB Hunt container under 53'. I'll keep a watch out for 20' ones though.

They've also been putting DCS on their trucks and containers.

I seem to recall back in the mid 90's, JB Hunt got some tandem axle pup trailers, they were shorter than 30' for sure. I just remember that they were brand new and I'd see dozens of them on BN/BNSF trains headed west. Back then a friend told me they were going to California for some particular use there. Since seeing them brand new in delivery, I've never seen them again.

Maybe these are what I'm remembering? : http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/dfaust/jbhunt/jbhunt_ih_dbls2.jpg
