Well,I picked up an Atlas GP40 that is DCC ready at a train show.I was absolutely sure the chassis would fit my Atlas GP 35 that is too old to put a decoder in.WRONG!the gp40 mechanism is longer than the old GP35 shell.I model Mopac so I could do the yellowbird version but would like to get a gp38 shell,but want to make sure it would fit first.Any input or sheesh ya shoulda known better comments are welcomelaugh:
The 38 shell will fit on the 40. A TCS CN-GP decoder will fit in the 35. I have 4 of them with TCS decoders in them, one is a MoPac.
