Greetings, I spent about 5 days in Lincoln, NH in October 2011. Here are about 20 of the photos of took of the "Hobo Railroad" which is a "tourist train" and well worth the trip. As you can see they also refurbish older equipment. -- https://picasaweb.google.com/101651611374566273008/HoboRailroadLincolnNHOct2011 My Favorite Pics:
Very nice, Steve, you had some wonderful weather. Those photos are making me homesick....until I read that Concord received 22" snow over the weekend.
Thanks Hank. For most the weather would have been not-so-good. For me the cloudy skys were more gentle on my eyes. It rained at night which made hiking not an option. Still I took the cog railway to the top of Mt Washing ton - pics to follow.
Very cool! My wife and I just blew through South-Eastern Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont this past weekend as we were down visiting my brother. We passed the Mt. Washington Cog railroad, and the Conway Scenic Railroad. Didn't have a chance to stop at either, but that certainly is a beautiful area for a ride.
