This is from a series of photos I took on one of my NTRAK modules that I set up out doors. I have to go a long way to find a big open field to do this in anymore. Urban sprawl has taken over this one.

Here's a trailer that I added a new BLMA Carrier reefer unit. I also added a 100 gallon diesel fuel tank, s/s landing gear & alum. rims on the trailer.

Back when he drove trucks for a living, Mike had developed a sort of "kinematic" 5th wheel that slides back and forth on the truck chassis so that when it goes around a corner, it moves back to allow clearance between the cab and the trailer. This allows for a more aerodynamic profile of the truck at higher speed. ;) ;)

Back a few years ago, I drove for a company that had 57' trailers. The kingpin was farther back from the nose of the trailer than normal, keeping the length at the legal limit. Hated pulling that thing because the nose of the trailer swung way out on turns.

Abandoned Hayes Street roadway bridge in downtown San Antonio, Texas as it was around 1970. The roadway has just recently been converted into a scenic pedestrian walkway. It should be a great place for rail fanning, at least in good weather. In the 1920s, several of these bridges crossed the downtown Espee yard. Years later, the "East" Yard was built and it exists today but is scheduled to be abandoned by the Union Pacific in favor of other yards further out of town on less expensive real estate.

In this picture, the Sunset Route tracks are at the far end of the bridge just this side of the ICG boxcar.

Espee's Coast Daylight has somehow ended up at Bullard's Bar in the Sierra Nevada on my Yuba River Sub. Maybe it's an excursion, or something. The cars are MTH, the GS-4 is a re-worked Balboa brass import and the MT-4 helper is an Athearn Genesis.
