Well - tonite I finally put most all of the switch wires through the foam, they will probably hang underneath forever but at least they are off the top and out of the way. I have fiddled with the plan many times, but last night finally attached the two rear tracks down, and tonite I also started the river. Sorry, but I dont think that I have the picture procedure too well yet.
That sir, is some excellent looking progress I particularly like the 'island' in the middle of the river-me thinks it looks most excellent! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the coming weeks!
Thanks everyone. It really gets one happy to finally see a little bit of scenery on that otherwise drastically PINK layout
I feel your pain-I've been looking at a white wilderness for about 8 months now! I need to go outside and find me a bunch of dead leaves and start experimenting
Well - after changing the main plan from a rectangled 50x120 to a 6' x 12' rectangle with the middle open, I did salvage and reuse the river/sceniced portion, but since the rear tunnel was now out, I had to figure out what to do with where I had ended the river. (Before it was either going to disapear under the tunnel, or maybe a waterfall) I finally got brave and decided to take out the foam under the track, and use the Atlas Viaducts that I had. I left the pieces out that Atlas provides to fit the track(atlas) in, since I am Kato, and after taking out the little raised spots inside, the unitrack settles down nicely into the Viaduct.
OK - here is a progress update - working on the back corner, the mountain is scenicked except to decide about trees. And a shot of the new viaduct progress.
