Trainini is not the Washington Post, and I think that most people in Germany ordered some Rokuhan long time ago in Japan. So, the fresh news are already a little bit old, by the way. But good that they tried it out, finally also :question:
....well, Rokuhan sort of introduced Kato's alike track system into Z scale and I am waiting for the US-style roling stock... Missed oppertunity for Märklin to introduce Z-scale C-Gleis....? BTW the MTL track is the only which still has the American tie spacing...:thumbs_up:
Yes, congrats to Rokuhan indeed! Why Z scale was constrained by the Marklin track geometry for so long remains a mystery to me. Rokuhan has my heartfelt gratitude for so quickly and intuitively bringing their pioneering Z track to market. Sure, sectional track - let alone roadbed track - isn't everyone's cup of tea, but Kato's Unitrack did wonders for N, allowing newcomers and those with time and space constraints to create interesting layouts in all types of conditions. Z needed and Z deserved a comparable track system and if Rokuhan's products do for Z what Kato's Unitrack did for N (think worldwide market, not just US, because many Europeans and Japanese adore North American prototypes) then we will see more new rolling stock offerings than we ever would have otherwise - and faster too.
