Thank you for the warm welcome. I registered yesterday, but my password got lost in the electrons somewhere, so I am just posting for the first time now.
Hmmm, I wonder if there is a Topic for "The Atlas Forum" under the "Fallen Flags" forum? Welcome, Paul!
I hope that the folks here at Trainboard will understand what I mean when I say that I hope that the revived Atlas forums will not be just another Trainboard. I mean it in the kinder sense that there is already a Trainboard and there are/were unique qualities to the configuration and environment of the old Atlas forums that differentiated it from the rest. Some of those things weren't alway positive and I do agree that they ought not to be welcomed back. Gifted, talented, creative people are not necessarily the most socially integrated people and sociopaths are seldom gifted, talented, or creative. We need to strive to tell the difference and not expect some sort of venue of strictly mannerly discourse. I enjoy and appreciate Trainboard for what it is, just as I enjoyed the previous iteration of the Atlas forums, but there was a crackling energy over there that I miss here. Something like too many egos rubbing together in too tight a space. With regards to RailImages, I find it a lovely service, but I still am surprised that most people, normally with a free 10mb of web space provided by their ISP, don't self-host their images. (my ISP offers up to 60mb if I do it right). Just my two cents on the subject. Thanks to both Trainboard and Atlas for hosting their respective forums.

Well I swear I just logged in over there now they are back down. Why would I lie about a thing like that? I was not the only one there either there was one post dated today something about a welcome back.
Welcome Mr. Graf. I never noticed that the N scale boys were particullarly nasty. There were a few ruffeld feathers and a scratch or two here or there, but if one or two guys (and we all know who they were) were the biggest problems, then the N scale side was a pretty good forum. As for other scales, I will not be specific, but some of those guys did get out of hand.
Mr. Graf If you arde still lurking, I would like to complement your team on the execution of the Alco C-630. The first of the three I ordered came in today. You guys are at the top of the mountain . Len
