Hi all, anyone own this diesel ? If so, how do you like it ? Sillouette of engine's truck-frames ( in seller ads on ebay ) seems to have a rectangular shape when looking at side view..Is this a prototype shape or model's requirement ? How's the weight ? Is it hefty for traction ? Can it crawl well ? Saw one for $89.00.... thanks, Mark
I have one in B&O - it's not too bad, especially considering the price. Number boards aren't lighted, but not a big deal to me. Trucks seem to be reasonably close to prototype, close enough for me anyway. I think the gray paint is a bit too dark. Slow speed seems good, should get better after I get some more running time in. Haven't tried to see how many cars it can pull, and have only tried pulling a train of about ten cars on a layout that has a fair grade, no problems.
