I hope somebody can help. My two favorite locomotives are torn apart right now and I need this part: http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATHG63868

Its the DCC adapter board/light board/circut board. Whatever you want to call it. It can not be found anywhere I look in stock. Does anybody know where I may be able to find 2 of these in stock? Athearn doesnt even have them in stock. Do I wait and see when they do come in stock?

    Thanks for any help!

If it's out of stock, then that is probably that for the time being, since Athearn has been having some problems over in China... You could check you LHS to see if they have them. Can you can the board and just hardwire a decoder?

You might also try a WTB add on miscellaneous websites or buy/sell lists (including here). Good chance you'll find what you need from someone.

Yea I have heard about the problems in China. My layout is DC and the board works just the only reason I am getting new ones is because the resistors for the lights are fried.

I am sure I am not the only one that wants this part lol. I might try to contact them and see when they will be releasing another run of them.

Are you sure the resistors are "fried"? With Athearn locos it's usually the light bulbs that burn out. Give some thought to replacing them w/ much longer lasting LEDs.

I replaced all 4 only to have them all burn out. They got really bright as i powered up and then all 4 just quit. And the SD60M is not fun to tear down and reassemble too. lol that was a frustrating day.
