    Hello group,
I was checking out rphobbies for n scale vehicles. In the lower right hand section is a box called news. In the lower left of that box is a link that says all news. I clicked on it and at the bottom of the page it says.

That's interesting. Last I'd heard MMM mentioned was when they initially offered their 3D print service about 6 years ago. I'd assumed they'd gone by the wayside in light of continuing advances in print-on-demand technology and the dominance of Shapeways in that market. I like their vehicle designs but they've had the same 'coming soon' page up for years. They appear to use a multijet deposition process similar to what Shapeways uses for Ultra Detail, with a detail resolution down to a couple tenths of a millimeter, so their models still look state-of-art. Shapeways is not well organized, if you take a look at my shop there you'll find out (probably my fault), but chances are that very similar models can be found with some searching, the vehicles at least. Cars and trucks have too many curves for simple design programs, but with the right one it isn't too hard to make your own, printed by Shapeways or another outfit.

If you want to print your own stuff at home, the desktop fused deposition (melted ABS goo extruded through a dot matrix-like printhead) printers available at $2000 or so will make things with details under a millimeter, but that's not quite good enough yet.

It appears that it is a site malfunction. They also state the Con-Cor 2004 Christmas train is now available. All updates are dated for the current day.

I just wish he would re-run the Mack DM800 and Ford Ambulance kits. I need a few.
