Rio Grande 2-8-0 #1159 sets out a cut of cattle cars at Wagon Wheel Gap to transport stock from high country summer pasture to winter grazing in the foothills. It's fall in the Sierra and snow is soon to follow.

Saw the photo of the live steam stuff, So I figured I have a few old ones to put up.

My dad and I posing behind our model of D&RGW #50, photo taken in late 2004. This photo brings back memory's of good times before the bad for me, because not too long after this photo was taken my dad was diagnosed with oral cancer, he passed away in 2007.

Me at the helm for night switching.

roaring along the back stretch of the Chula Vista Live steamers, once again, me at the helm.

After moving to Colorado, time took its toll on #50, and it was found in this sad shape in the barn around late 2006. The engine was sold to Don Morgan of Littleton, Colorado in 2008. He passed away last summer, and I am unaware of this engines disposition.

It's not nice to say prototype photos are models. It's even meaner when you find out it's an actual MODEL! Great work, Mike!!

Looking at that picture tends to make me forget it is still July and it is supposed to be 90's today.
