I enjoyed 'driving' around the food plant and looking at the tank cars from both ends! And the BN unit down a track. Were those cops on the motorbikes?

I think it's just a corn sugar distribution facility, but it's a place to send those tank cars. And it's not a petroleum product facility so it's different.

I like the idea of corn syrup cars etc and by the looks of things the layout will have a brewery. I wonder if there is one I can model that Missouri Pacific serviced

The MoPac served St Louis and Houston, TX....both have large Anheuser-Busch breweries in them. Also in TX, i think it use to serve the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio before it shut down and although the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, TX is served by the KCS, its good example of a small brewery with modern and older building features.

A while back I met a guy who's father had been a station master on the mopac here in Colorado. He offered to sell me a bunch of old train stuff. Ended up buying a photo album with pics of all the crew that had worked the station. A commemorative mopac plate. Can't remember what else, but he also just gave me a photo of the station.

I think that here in colorado the crop for sugar was beets. I'm not sure when that industry died out though. It might have lasted into the 70's, or else been converted to corn processing.

What an amazing place! That would take some modelling in it's entirety! But what style back in those days :)
