Hey all! Not sure this is the right spot for this kind of information, if not would you admins be so kind as to move it to the proper topical section? I just recently got my hands on a huge collection of mostly unbuilt HO scale models. This ranges from box cars, to steam locos, to brass locos, to cabooses (or is it cabeese?). I have literally something for everyone. I currently have lots of wooden cars available for auction and if you ebay at all I would really recommend saving me as a seller because over the next few weeks I will be posting more. Later today I am listing some metal engines that are not built as well as a brass locomotive. If you have any interest please be sure to check me out here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/all_aboard_choo_choo/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3984 I am also new to ebay, so any support or advice you can give me in regard to the titles, pictures, description would be greatly appreciated. I'm most definitely not a pro at this, and am eager to learn how to make myself more visible and knowledgeable both in the hobby as well as on ebay.
A couple of main items i recommend are very detailed and numerous pictures (people love photos). A picture is worth a thousand words! Also, very fast shipping at the real shipping cost. I always have the item(s) ready to go, so once the person pays, It's out the door. Your seller rating will reflect that and Evilbay will reward top sellers with discounts. Good luck and i hope to win a few of your auctions!
For any selling on TrainBoard, we have our TrainStore section. Within that it is an area for noting listings on eBaY.
That's great advice! I'm making changes as I go along which is why some titles say rare and collectible while others don't. I was told some people don't like seeing terms like that in titles, so i'm changing it from here on out. I realize now after getting feedback that some of my pictures could be a little more detailed, going to be sure to take more of the parts in future listings. Again, this is my first time posting so I'm proud of the work I did but realize I need to make adjustments. I'm just getting started and have about 300+ trains to go through so keep an eye on my progress! Something you are dying to have is bound to come up. Hope to be shipping you something soon! All my lots sit bundled together until the first bid, then they get thrown into boxes so I can add a shipping label and push them out the door once I receive payments. I find staying organized is 50% of the ebay game.
I'm not seeing it, hence why this ended up here. Sorry. What section is this trainstore I don't see it on the main forum page? EDIT: I found it, but I don't have proper permissions to post there. Any particular reason why or is there a way I can get permissions?
TrainStore can be browsed by the public without being registered. A registered TrainBoard User should have access to all parts of TrainStore for selling, eBaY links, etc. All that should be needed is logging in.
I have the ability to place an ad, I don't see how to just post a topic. Is that what I'm supposed to do here?
There are no topics or dicussions on our TrainStore. You can ask a question of a seller there, in their item. Otherwise, (non-sales) discussions are here on TrainBoard. Although we had a place for sales, we used to have people selling in the forums here, but it simply became messy at best. So about 6-7 years ago, we separated ads to their own place.
"Train Store" is at very top of the forum you are now in..It's in an orange box on top right of "TB Groups" ..click it on..
