Hey everyone, I recently picked up a newer run Kato BNSF Dash 9 off Ebay for cheep. The run with the ditch lights on top of the front porch. The seller had renumbered it and done some detailing but never finished and sold it disassembled. Unfortunately the cab light shield and the light pipes are missing and the seller has no clue where they are....naturally. I had an extra set of light pipes luckily, plus an older light shield. I tried the older shield and it fits but the newer split light pipes are hitting in some funny places and wont let the shell go together. Kato does not sell just the light shield, it only comes in a shell assembly. Not really interested in spending $35 for a bunch of parts I don't really need. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone has a spare newer run light shield laying around they would be kind enough to sell me?

    Thanks,
    Steven

Why not try to put a small pice of aluminum foil painted black and let it conform to the light pipes so the shell will fit.
    Easy, peasy and cheep too.
    Good luck.

Heavy black construction paper will also work, need no painting and is non conductive.
