Are they Bachmann? Or could they be something else?

Is that wire wrapping around the couplers between the two locos?

Not sure if they are bachmann or not...would need better pics of them to see.

    The trucks look Athearn-like.

Trucks look like Athearn, shells not too sure about, F-3s correct? Maybe Stewart shells?

The A unit doesn't have an Athearn frame but an Athearn clone from Stewart I believe. It was made to accept several truck and motor types. The motor is a PPW can motor, Proto trucks with Athearn side frames and Athearn nickel-silver wheels. The flywheels are Proto, shafts and shaft couplings are Proto/Athearn. The B unit has an Athearn blue box F7 frame, Mashima can motor, Proto 1000 trucks with Athearn nickel-silver wheels. The flywheels, shafts and shaft couplings are Kato/Stewart. The shells are Bachmann FT shells.

So if you knew what they were, why did you ask us? Or was it a can we guess who made them?

I wanted to see if others could figure out some of it. Some things are obvious, some aren't, some things you can't see because they're inside.

I don't get much modeling time nowadays so instead, I took the boys to the Illinois Railway Museum yesterday for their first visit. First trolley ride is in the books!

Last weekend and next weekend are the "A Day with Thomas" so we found him with his sleeping mask on. :p

And of course, there's nothing like kicking back and watching the street cars roll past.
