Well another weekend is past and another week is starting up. How did you do in your weekend modeling accomplishments?

My weekend was busy, in fact I was away more than I was home. I started the weekend Friday night by catching Monticello Railway Museum using the CN FA unit to switch some tank cars. It was a fun catch but unfortunately the light was bad and no good pictures came out. Saturday I went up to Bloomington and helped my club work on the N-Trak yard modules. We are now starting the task of wiring and and doing a lot of planning so when someone who is not used to running on it will have no doubt how to operate on it. More railfaning was done later. Sunday was domestic day, doing the weekly shopping thing so no trains that day. All in all a good weekend.

So how about you? Did you get all your projects done? New scenery, or track work? How about new progress on modules or club layouts? Whatever you accomplished, let us know. We'll all come back on Friday the 31st to do it all over again. Until then...

Didn't get as much accomplished as I had hoped. I did ballast the Main, A/D and Yard 1 tracks but I haven't glued the ballast down yet. I cleaned off each tie plate so ballast doesn't get glued in inconvenient places. That was about it for the most part. I have a few more kits to work on this week in the hotel.

I made some headway on a pile of Intermountain Reefer kits. I put the roofs on 38 cars. Now all I have to do is put all the details on to finish them... maybe by the end of the year.

    Hmm... which year...?

I had a long weekend, but we took our daughter up to school in Maine and then extended the trip by a day to do some bicycling. Great weather, but other than painting and weathering a couple of trucks for some Accurail boxcars, nothing train related beyond seeing the Downeaster go by in Saco.

Modeling on the road this week--decaled an GP40-2, modified another GP40-2 to have the late style dynamic blower bulge, and began customizing Rio Grande's biggest Big Hook, the 028. Basic Bmann crane, shaved details, freestanding grabs, etc... Tablet photos, not hi-quality...
