I'm wondering if anyone had used Scalecoat paint more specifically Scalecoat II spray cans on N scale engines and will it give them a good paint job?
I wouldn't risk it. You don't have much control over how much paint is being sprayed, and in N scale, a LITTLE paint goes a long way. How hard would it be to get an airbrush? Badger makes some nice brushes that aren't very expensive. Hmm... I just use finger paints...
I don't know why everyone knots the can paint i've done several motors that way and most don't know it's scale coat 2 out of the can. You need good lighting and watch your distance of can to model. It can be done very well. I stand buy the can as well the airbrush.
