The NKP was on the point of NS 22A on the NS Louisville Dst at Waddy. I was on my way to Harrodsburg to go to my grandmother's funeral the next day, so once I got into Kentucky, I'd figure I would follow the Louisville Dst after lunch at McDonalds and started at Tucker Station and worked eastward. The rest of the shots were also on the NS Louisville Dst.
I have a train order in my collection, from this location. What was once there? A depot, train order office or a tower?
The colors in Germany this weekend were /off the hook/, so I made a bit of time to shooting. Here's the Sunday afternoon Kaiserslautern-Pirmasens commuters heading south (the sun was gone here, so it got blurry):
Hemi- Oooo. A ride in those colors would be great. Has there been time for you to be on the rails lately?
There is still a VIA Rail station in Saint-Hyacinthe. I assume there must have been an operator there back in the train order days. Just east of Saint-Hyacinthe is Sainte-Rosalie Junction, which was a junction with the GTR, Intercolonial Railroad, and CP. What does your train order say?
Unfortunately it does not give anything about a train movement. Date is 1958 on the old pink 19 (19-R) and it places a new timetable into effect.
Since YoHo started this with a NW bridge photo, I will submit another, this one taken Saturday, October 20, crossing the Columbia River at Wishram, WA to the Oregon side. I tried to get an "artsy" shot through the window and through the bridge girders.
