Problem sometimes when having a big assortments of parts confined to small multi bin storage boxes without the original packaging is figuring out who make the danged parts that you are now running out of.

These little fellas are plastic and come in multiple sizes and styles on I believe two sprues per pack. I thought they were made by Tichy Trains but be darned if I can find them on thier web site. They do make all sorts of nut and bolt castings in plastic which I have but can't find these. So if anyone has any idea who made them I would be grateful for the information. In a pinch I could probably use brass lift rings but for me the plastic is better plus the different sizes for me are a plus.

I'm not sure what you have there, but you can get packs of assorted "eye bolts/lift rings" in plastic from Grandt Line.
Will be in the HO parts list, but many are useful in N. LOTS of nut-bolt etcetera castings as well.

Welcome; I thought they might be, but without the little I-D tabs on the sprues I wasn't sure.
Got to know them when I was in HOn3, but have used a lot of those parts in N over the years too...

I've been using them for lift rings for the hatch covers on my latest nautical project, but I also use them along with the nut/bolt castings and the smallest of the turnbuckles on some of my logging eqipment. I'm just about forced now into ordering everything I need for biulding supplies of the WWW since the last hobbyshop has just about given up on N scale except for Marklin.

Isn't there a decent shop out towards Manassas somewhere?

Really isn't anything left in this area that carries a decent stock of stuff for the scratchbuilder and not much in the way of N scale.I have to go up around Baltimore to find anything worth my time and fuel. Most of the time the stock is depleted either by the forays of an architechtural class or just plain lack of interest in restocking. And what you do find is severely overpriced. The chances of finding anything by Grandt Line in this area range from slim to none at least usable for N scale. My last stock of styrene supplies was ordered out of the guys up west of Baltimore. I am able to get some styrene from a Hobby Works in my area but not much else when in a pinch but also at a price. So today most projects are planned months ahead and not started until the supplies are in hand. Shame but ten years ago one could find at least 7 good shops within 30 minutes drive. And one used to be an N scaler's heaven and a complete sensory overload when you walked in. Shop was started suposedly by a son for his father to give him something to do. When he finally got too up in age to run it it was closed. Dang I miss them.

Aw yes, "Obies"! Rember it fondly from my time in Northern VA. BTW, Obie (Fred) is now in Arizona and his Dad has sadly passed.
