Z 905's for Athearn BW caboose?

    Just looked at underside of my Athearn E-L bay window cabeese, to see how mounting Z905's would go. Got to hack off mounting post, and widen coupler pocket at front. Not easy. as details are right to coupler pocket. What's your experience been? Out of the box, there's a l o t o f r o o m
    between caboose and car in front. Mchenrys on there? Big suckers. too.

    I lost a spring on one of mine and was told to use an Atlas Accumate.
    It was a perfect fit, but it still left a pretty big space between the cars. Someone else said they thought the proto cabooses had a cushion coupler, and the space looked about right.
    At least it doesn't look like a boxing glove and you don't need to worry about loosing the springs.

    I have had WAAAAAAY more problems with Accumates. Never had a problem with mchenrys.

    I put 905s on my Athearn Bay Window. Its been a while but I dont think I modified anythin.

    Thanks, Jeff. I'll see if I can post some pix Friday to show what I'm up against, and what I've done so far for what looks to be good.
