I'm gonna build a couple hon3 modules and I'm not sure what brand turnouts to use. What do you recommend? Thanks.
Try your hand at making your own turnouts. It's much easier than you would think, and you can make them fit any need. All you need is a pair of rail-nippers, a file, some wood ties, (some use a few ties made from printed circuit board as did the late Wolfgang Dutler) and some spikes. All are available at your LHS. You can also get pattern(s) on the Internet.
You might also wish to search through posts made here, 2012 and the couple of preceeding years, by the late Wolfgang Dudler. There are some nice photos of how he built his HOn3 turmouts. I don't recall if there is also information on his web site- Which should still be up.
Go to the Fastracks site and they are downloadable for the simple cost of nothing. Print them out and there you go . Just us them as your pattern and use a NMRA gauge and solder the rails to the PC ties. They also have tutorials on their site.
