Sometime ago purchased a key imports C&O Allegheney the previous owner had painted it a light gray which looks really nice but used the white C&O lettering instead of the gold,just wondering if the C&O ever used the white lettering on the Alleghenys.
GN, as far as I know, all the C&O "super power" modern steam engines had Chesapeake & Ohio applied to the tender with a yellow/gold lettering. It's been a long while since I put decals on a tender, but if I remember right I used Champion Decals Dulux Gold. I have a B&O Class S1 that has the same issue - white lettering. I might try to scale and print my own decals, and just decal over the white lettering...
