Well its been a while since the last vehicle offering. In fact it was all the way back in July when we announced the I type builders pack http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/vehicles.html. This time around Walter decided to build a crew cab with a different type of boom. We hope you will stop on by the website and check them out. http://www.showcaseminiatures.net/2/post/2013/11/introducing-n-scale-crew-cab-maintenance-of-way.html I hope you like them.
I'll be ordering one of the new trucks first thing tomorrow, I just finished assembling one of the others last week! Edit: I couldn't wait that long, I just ordered it. You read my mind with this truck, it will be perfect for a BNSF wheel truck!
Here's a pic of my just-completed (operating) MOW truck that was heavily kitbashed from an older (discontinued?) Showcase boom truck, where I added the recently-released Showcase tools in the back (compressor, welder, buckets and tool box) and mirrors.... The truck rides on a modified Kato Pocket Locomotive chassis.
Thanks! The cones are scratchbuilt out of rod and sheet styrene. The rods were turned at an angle against sandpaper to achieve the cone taper.
