Seems Märklin have made an E8 in collaboration with AZL. I am really looking towards seeing pics of this! Great news! http://medienpdb.maerklin.de/produkte/pdfs/Maerklin_NH2014_de.pdf
WOW that's great, too bad they still use 5 pole motors. hope they come faster than other releases I've waited almost 2 years for a pre order. I think most of the reorganization at marklin is complete so i'll keep my fingers crossed. Also nice to see Marklin recognize AZL as a partner in the American market.
Excellent news! Let's hope these will be completely prototypical like the GG1 for example, and they will be available with an AZL/MTL compatible coupler. dom
This cooperation is very exciting for us as well. The Marklin E8A/E9A locomotives will use AZL supplied motors. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)
Hans and Rob, WOW!!! This is fantastic news! It goes to show that you can teach an old toy maker new tricks. John
Keeping Pants On Drop pants? Whoa big boy! I mean, usually I like to go out for a nice dinner first! Cheers, -Rob(A) AZL
Skip to PDF page 205 if you don't want to wade thru the catalog. Now, the question is: where are the passenger cars
...and if you do a little tinkering, you can copy-and-paste the page into Google's Translator program and get a good English (or most any other language) translation. ...don
You can find the price and more info in the onlineshop (Its not available yet) https://www.maerklinshop.de/index.p...7f984eeabdbb0a7d494132ee5&anid=M088627&pgNr=2
ouch at 220 Euro that's 300.00 USD at today's exchange rate , this is going to be expensive for some of us.
AZL already did E8 in brass. There was an announcement from MTL about an E8 coming, many months ago, but since then, there has been mainly silence, on the topic I surmise, mainly due to China production problems which have plagued many Z scale Manufacturers including MTL.
