Don't know if I'm on the right page for this question or not but anyway I am looking to build a n-scale layout and I want to do the area where the copper creek bridge is I think in Virginia and maybe NC too. Did this use to be part of the old Clinchfield RR if so I would like to get some info on this thank you very much.
Google Earth would give you some overhead view help. Do you know any area station names, for learning what railroad might have operated in the vicinity?
Kalmbach/ Model Railroader had an extended series in Model Railroader magazine on modeling the Clinchfield in N scale, and came out with a book with additional prototype data. I would start there. One other thing might help. If you would edit your topic TITLE to include "Clinchfield" somehow, so people interested in or knowledgeable would want to open it, rather than your rather generic topic heading. "Need pictures/info re Clinchfield/ Copper Creek Bridge" for instance.
I'm not a clinchfield expert, but we have an ex-clinchfield line (In NC) about 2 counties away from us that is presently run by CSX. does your line through McDowell Co, NC? Specifically Marion? Is this the line your thinking of? If so, have plenty of pics.
