This is one of may favorite older Life-Like N scale locos from running on my old DC layout. My question is can I put the Digitrax DZ125 decoder in this to run on my DCC layout ?? I have been running DCC for years but bought 2 new locos already decoder equipped and have not tried to switch any of my older locos ( I have 6 DC locos to switch ) I still have alot to learn about DCC, Any thoughts or advice on making this switch.
Yes, you can ! I’ve done quite a few of those. The decoder in the example is a DZ123 which is actually a bit larger than your DZ125. You can ABSOLUTELY TRUST everything Brad says! He has done a great number of flawless DCC conversions for me, including all my LifeLike locomotives. As I side note, I never really use the phrase, ABSOLUTELY TRUST, in any form of reference. But Brad is a rock solid decoder installer and he does things better than anyone else.
