Hello to all , My name is Paul and I'm new to this forum but have been a railroad fan for many years and have several N-scale layouts under my belt. First off I joined this forum to gain more information on DCC and all I can say is WOW ! what a useful sight I found. Many thanks to all who give support and great insight on this hobby. My latest layout is DCC and I bought a few decoder equipped locos to run on it but didn't think I could switch my old DC locos over to a decoder. My local hobby shop didn't give me much support for my N-scale ventures , so I started searching and found this sight. With your help I found all I can do in N-scale so I'm going to be putting decoders in all my locos and really start to enjoy my trains even more (if that's possible) I spent much of my early years going to the local yard in Brunswick Md. At that time under C&O and Chessie system. I spent many days taking pictures and asking questions on railway operations. They also had a roundhouse that was still in operation and a joy to watch. Sadly it was later removed amid several protest to then CSX who bought the rails. This is where I started my Chessie layout and have been a fan of that fallen flag for years. Thanks again for this great sight and I hope I can be of help to others as well.
There are many times I wish the bug had bit earlier, and I could have had the opportunity to see the Eagle in person. Great to hear that you're already getting benefit from the site, and a hearty welcome!
Welcome to the board! I have only been a member for a few days myself but I really enjoy it here. Great to have another Chessie fan on board.
