Has anyone changed the link & pin couplers for knuckle couplers on the Micro Train Civil War Series Box Car, Conductor Car or Flat car? How did you do it and what knuckle coupler did you use?

The stock link and pin couplers are body mounted. They can be "pried" off. I elected to use a MTL Z-scale 905 coupler mounted with a screw on one end of one car. That is the head end car that I connect to the locomotive.
Seems to work well in the limited use I have had.

    Roger,

Thank You! Hooking and unhooking the link and pin is a pain, especially since I have only 3 of these cars and 47 Civil War era knuckle coupler cars.

    crappie610,

Thank you for your pin suggestion, looks like all I have left is buy some MT 905 couplers.

Thanks again to Roger and crappie610 - oldjohn
