    Hi!

Anybody have an idea where to get the plow for WP F Units?

I think it's a left-over from the steam engine spare parts bin!

    Tony,
I know of no commercially available part for this one. I wonder if a plow off of a D&RGW K series narrow gauge engine would be close or could be used as a pattern? If you spot something that would work or especially if you find a part, I'd appreciate a 'heads up'

    Tony,

Miniatures by Eric does some CPR steam plows in cast brass that are close. Not sure if you can find a pic online or not. They are a Canadian detail company that does a lot of Canadian detail parts in brass.

I love the caption on the photo....... "note plow"

Good thing... I almost missed it!!!!!

The WP had these types of plows too, I think they got some old SP units from a garage sale. I found these plows up at Milepost 38, and a few units will get them. The steamer plow may well be a scratcher, but I still have to research the Models by Eric hint...

but not exact. Hmmm, now to figure out if I can modify it, or just get one to use as a pattern. I would love to have a working coupler on the plow...

I also looked around for these plows. And they were old steam plows that the shop boys rigged up on these units. They also recycled old steam engine lights as back up lights for some of the B units and I have been able to do those using Sunrise parts. You can just see those perched on the back of some of the B units.

Thats the Sunrise plow on the A unit and you can see that it does not even come close to the big plows that some units had and is in the photo.
