I have a moderate collection of N scale locos and cars of all sorts, mostly pre-1960. The following is a post I added to another member asking how many cars do you have? I don't have an accurate count, but I have a display case 12 feet long with 24 shelves mostly filled with various line of passenger consists, also sveral freight shelves, each with about 30 cars plus engines and cabooses: reefers, boxcar brown boxcars, Hooker tank cars, C&O (self lettered and painted) hoppers, and a C&O boxcar train with about 15 cars. There are more. There are at least 35 passenger consists of various lengths, each in a different road name. All trains are from pre-1960's era. Collecting since 1968. First car was a B&M Rapido boxcar, I still have. There are 4 more smaller display cases (I made myself) with mostly locomotives, grouped by builder and model. Good luck collecting. Hey guys, thanks for the responses. Collections like this don't happen overnight. Well, they could if you bought someone else's collection. Yes, I love the trainmasters, and have more since this photo was taken. Actually, this whole display case is almost filled now. More Geeps, and double, triple and quad boxcar groups. I'll show my EMD F display later. It's hard to find time to photo this stuff, and have it turn out good. I am 65 (almost 66) and working more than full time with my drapery business. My wife likes to see me sometimes, too! Please send me your layout and train photos, or direct me to them. I need more!! Still looking for that elusive TH&B Geep also. Any info greatly appreciated.
