    Hi,

last year I showed few models of my collection. I decided to create new thread.

I'm from Poland, from small town Babimost near Poznań. For a few years I built models of locomotives of Polish railways.

At first I want to show model of Polish diesel locomotive class SM31: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PKP_class_SM31 . My model is made of photo-etched metal, the frame is digitally milled and the propulsion is a modified Roco propulsion. I need to install a few more elements and model will go for painting.

What do you think about it?

PS. I have problem with uploading photos, I can add only 976.6 KB, how can I add more photos? In this post I linked photos from Polish forum where I show my models, because I don't know how can I do other.

Linking in photographs is just fine. Not sure why you be having problems. Are you using TrainBoard Albums? Or our photo site, RailImages?

Please show us photos after painting. It would also be fun to see a prototype engine in operation. I wonder if there is something on YouTube?

nice work. The shots look great. The Roco power mechanism should be very smooth too.

Do you have any other images of PKP trains? I love european models and would enjoy seeing them.

That is a great looking model for sure. There is some terrific detail in those trucks. I should like to to see it painted and weathered up.
    Beautiful work.

Yes, I'm using TrainBoard Albums but I couldn't add more than 1MB photos. Now I see that I can add 30MB. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, so I uploaded a few foto on RailImages.

Of course I will show the model after painting. Finally it gets DCC and sound decoder by Zimo (Austria). The Roco power mechanism is very good, but I had to make new frame and move one axis at each trolley. At the moment there is nothing on YouTube, but when the model will be ready I will upload some movie.

Today I want to show some pictures of my other models.

    1. Steam locomotive BR 19.1. It will be converted to Pt31 (Pt31 is a Polish locomotive, the model presented locomotive taken during The Second World War by the Germans).

    2. Steam locomotive BR 03. It will be converted to Pm2.

    3. Steam locomotive BR 50. It will be converted to Ty5.

    4. Steam locomotive BR 38. It will be converted to Ok1.

    5. Electric locomotive EU43.

    6. Steam locomotive Ty4. The model is based on BR 44 by Roco. This locomotive has DCC sound decoder.

Next week I will show more photos of models that I have on my workbench. I hope that I can make better quality images.

The software can be a bit quirky. It is a good idea to keep the size of any individual photo reduced. Sometimes large does not want to upload. We suggest keeping them to 100KB or less. This allows many more to be uploaded, before using up all of the space available to you. Using JPG format also works best.

There's a lot of movies with this loco in scale 1:1. SM31 mean diesel (S - Spalinowa) shunting (M - Manewrowa) locomotive, but normally this machines pull mainly freight trains. Sometimes, due to a mains power failure SM31 pulls passenger train.

But the most I love steam locomotives, I live 20km from Wolsztyn, there is the last active roundhouse in the world. On Saturday we are going by special train with steam loco Ol49 from Poznań to Cottbus and Lubben (Germany). If you wont, I can upload a few photo about this travel.

Of course, Ol49 is also on my workbench:)

Superb looking kit built locomotive. The trucks are awesome! Thanks for the video link Ken, the SM31 has a lovely throaty sound so the model with sound should be great!

I look forward to more photographs of the painted model. Polish models are a bit scarce, so great to see this one. :)

The trucks on that SM31 are indeed magnificent. Is that from a kit or your own work? Has a very nice, beefy look to it.

Very nice model, the detail on those trucks is incredible, what radius can it go round?
