Have anyone noticed, that NZT products has been clossed, and that all of David K Smith's website is down too. :-(
David is taking care of some personal issues and is asking for some privacy during this time. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
If you need something then PM me because I *may* have it in stock. I am in communication with DKS. Firstly there was no mention of ending his pursuit of the Protomate so not to worry. But he asks for privacy during this time. I'm sure he appreciates all of your concerns. Although he would prefer you not, I might recommend that if you feel you have to send emails that you don't ask for anything, don't ask when he will start back into production, and don't say anything that you would expect an answer back. He just wants his privacy respected. We all want to see him back so let's just give him time. In my eyes the guy is a freaking genius and I miss working with him too. You know this guy loves modeling and sharing so when he's ready LOOK OUT!
Any chance someone has his advice on working with turnouts and shortening MT track that can be shared ? I'm new to Z scale and am building his Centralia Western layout. I received my track order this week and when I went to his site for the track cutting instructions saw it was down. His was the only place I had found the info. Thanks.
The January/February 2008 issue of Ztrack has an article on cutting down Z scale track. The article is by Jim O'Connell. Back issues and PDF copies of the issue are available. Here is the link: http://www.ztrack.com/issues/issues_08.html Additionally, we still have select NZT products in stock. There has been a run on these since the announcement of NZT closing it's doors. You are find are available stock listed here: http://www.ztrackcenter.com/nzt Rob
The Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) grabbed the text, but none of the pictures. http://web.archive.org/web/20111003015846/http://www.jamesriverbranch.net/plans_short.htm
Great. Thanks. I think I can work without the pictures. I had read them before and wanted it handy while actually doing the work.
