Guys You have to go direct to the Austrian guys who make these. I bought half a dozen items from them back in 2005. Can't find the contact information any more, but the new ÖBB 5047 diesel railcar page is http://www.sondermodellez.at/content_d/M07.asp. Eric
John, I bought some Swiss items back in '05, repainted Märklin passenger cars and modified Märklin engines. I wrote an article that appeared in Z-track in '06, iirc. Those items were modified with glue-on and paint-on additions, and very nicely done. Now the SMZ guys are into original construction, but I don't have personal experience as they stopped making Swiss models. Didn't know about these until I saw this thread. The models I got 10 years ago were extremely well done, but pricey as they started with new-production Märklin items then modified and repainted them at some extra cost. Hope that helps a bit.
Same experience here. I got three of their repainted passenger cars (former German DB cars that were in use bij Dutch NS railroads for a couple of years). Very nicely done, but with an additional fee over the original Marklin price. I have an email adress, since it is no longer on the website I won't spread it around but send me a PM and I will forward it to them. Matt
