Started this a few months ago, well maybe a year...... Got frustrated with a few pickup issues and set it aside.

Picked it back up a week ago and started to dig in to it's issues. The wires in between were causing the drawbar to put upward tension on the loco and tender.

The lead liner adds weight and focuses the sound, by TCS 1/2inch round speaker.

The broken solder joints that were giving me issues. And I ended up trimming the raised bar off at the rear to correct the ride height and take the tension off the wires.

    Another shot in the tender.
Then today I got it all repaired and running! Felt great!!!!

Nice job sir. Over the last ten years I've found, like many others, that a Bachmann tender swap cures most pickup problems.

Got it running! After doing a weeks worth of breaking in, it is smoothing out and finding a better low speed, which can be a barely able to tell it's moving crawl! Very happy with it overall!

Have a few tweeks to do, the drawbar needs rebuilt with a step down, coupler height adjusted, and some wheel work. The tender trucks were rebuilt with spectrum style pickups, which does improve the performance. I just really like the small tender, it looks correct for the loko!!!!

Would the less-long-than-the-USRA-short(?) Bachmann tender that comes standard on their 2-6-0 take the shell from your MP 2-6-0? They look about the same in length.
