Like vengeance, Monday is back. How did you do? My weekend was about as what I had expected. Saturday it was dealing with all the joys associated with retail, then coming home, eating a late dinner and bed. Sunday I slept in and then made breakfast for the crew. The morning was left for me to fill out applications for more viable work. Around noon, I finally had some time to work on railroad items. I'm at a stand still on the GP38's until the parts I ordered from Atlas get in so I turned my attention to my T-Trak modules. I was able to finish sand the three of them that needed stain. All three received conditioner and then stain before the rain moved in. That was all I had time for. This Friday I somehow managed to get it off from work and I'll be leaving for the Ohio N Scale Weekend. Should be a great time away from the day to day routine. So how about you? Did you get anything done? Let us know. We'll come back on Friday the 15th and start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week and... High Greens!
Well, got quite a bit done this weekend on the trainroom (attic). Friday AM I got up and it looked like this: Sunday night (last night) went to bed and it looked like this:
Wow, that's quite the transformation. Having had construction done on my house, I know how it feels when nothing seems to happen for months, and then over a few days it all comes together. May your train room bring you much pleasure in the years ahead! I went out for bike rides Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, I decided it was time to push the envelope a bit, and I went for a longer, more hilly ride. That was fine, but I pushed it too far and I was pretty tired for the rest of the weekend. I did manage to test my "new" little turntable I got at a show for $5, and found that no power was getting to either bridge rail. So, that will have to come apart. Other than that, the long-promised videos of my grade crossing project. First is the Oregon Rail Supply crossbucks and then the NJ International gates downtown. Mister Beasley those are really some nice crossings! Kitbash you really got some work done over the weekend. I put a few more molded rocks out but that is about it. Maybe next week get some progress that I can post...
love the PRR, of course, being a SPF...but it all looks wonderful! really nice work you have done thanks for sharing sincerely--
Nicely done. The timing is much better than usually seen, where the lights and gates activate so late, the train is already there. The lead time seen here is very real.
I agree. I live across from a busy UP (ex MoPac) two track grade crossing and watching your video made me feel right at home.
Yes, exactly. The guys that put the dry-wall up over the weekend will be back this weekend to tape/mud. As much as I'd like to take credit, I did no hustling. But I did do all the framing, insulating, and wiring. I would just rather have a root canal than think about putting up sheetrock.
Continued decals and details on the Proto GP18, which is to be GTW 4703 in green and yellow. Almost done! Next up is reassembly and a test run. And those grade crossing videos are fantastic!
