I love that the tortoise machines are equipped with the frog power routing feature... why can't digitrax incorporate inputs for frog power and a nice lil power routing solid state relay into the ds 64??? it would cost them so very little... the claim is that they can operate any type of switch... which in very basic terms I guess is true... WHOLE and COMPLETE operation of a turnout would be a nice to have in a 50 dollar unit... just sayin...

Why can't Digitrax install an on/off switch instead of having to flip the battery. It would cost probably $0.50 per throttle. Break a battery cover and you pay $12 and change for a new one. It probably is the overall cost of the engineering and the part. I did it with a mini toggle from my parts box for $0. I use Insul frog switches, no extra wiring needed.

I have 24 Peco Electrofrogs and have not done any changes to them other than removing the springs when I Installed my Tortoises. I have zero power issues going thru the turnouts.
