Here are some very nice photos of my Z scale ships from Switzerland. Photos by Dirk Kuhlmann for Sven Rohmann. The Capella is a 145' German oceanographic research ship, here parked at a small port on Chesapeake Bay. The small fishing boat is about 2.75" long.

I need to pour some ocean water soon. I'm almost certain it won't turn out that good, but I think I will try a little more of a greenish hue than I was planing on. Those look great!

    Wow! Some amazing work Pete.

I've been looking forward to seeing some of your finished product for sometime.

    Looking mighty spiffy.

Thanks, Rick. Credit to Dirk and Sven, who are just incredible modelers. I thought at the beginning it would take about three years for things like photos on layouts to occur, and that's proved just about right. Also, I'm not free to show any museum stuff in situ until it goes public, and most are still a few years ahead. And my layout will be going up again soon, as the Alabama-Ohio question is being settled.
