Hey all, I'm having a new issue with the auto reverse section. This just started happening this week. I'm having a random trip current issue with my DCC Specialties PSX-AR. Even when no trains are in the AR section it will randomly flip into the auto-reverse mode for a few seconds and switch back to normal mode. When this happens my Digitrax Zephyr shows a short and all trains momentarily stop. The recommended trip current when using the Zephyr is 1.7 -2.54 amps. When I set it this low the problems happens a lot. I have increased the trip current on the PSX-AR using CV49 and it helps but does not totally stop it from happening. Anyone else experience this and have any good ideas?
    Thanks for your help guys

    Happy New Year!

I had this a long time ago, when I was first installing them (about 6 years). In that case, the firmware on the board was corrupted. Took a lot of back and forth with them to figure it out. But, since that PROM cannot be changed, cannot see how that would happen installed on a layout. Could you have experienced a large static charge?

Thanks for your reply Rick. I haven't had any direct static charge to the circuit board but maybe something got fed back into it somehow. I did have this board updated last year by DCC Specialties and it has worked great up until last. That's when I ran a FVM ES44AC in DC mode on it. It seemed to run ok but that's when the problem started happening. Now it does it even without the DC train on it. Maybe something happened when it was running.
    Thanks Rick

I was under impression can't / shouldn't use DC with them.
Be nice to hear from someone.
I purposely stopped running DC after installing board & started to make preparations to put decoders in locomotives.
