Got them packed away for now. Redoing basement to build 3rd layout and don't what any equipment getting damaged. Picture with table taken back in 1989 with the First kits being assembled. Yea I had a lot on pre-order with a vision and a club in mind. The Midwest N Pioneer club in the Chicago area. I was one of the original founders and a past president. Now planning on taking up 3/4 of my 24ft by 40ft basement here in Chicago. Was going to do an article for an N Scale Magazine but they said "the kits are old and maybe no interest in it". I still doing the manuscript little by little with pictures and tips, maybe one day. As for the part of, 53 total with 10 still in kit form. Have a lot knowledge on theses old INTERAIL kits. The only negative is the time to do them right. The other pictures just before putting into a storage boxes to keep them safe and in the boxes. Dave
For the red kits, are you putting all that bulky stuff on the end of the cars? I have about maybe 9 sets. Can't wait to see pics of them running!
We are currently working on bringing out a number of these cars, so that folks can have more of these interesting cars. There are a number of different side ribbing arrangements for the Thrall cars, the Lo-Pac 2000 cars that Interail produced, the 40' cars, the 40'-45' and the 40'-48 cars consists as well as the 53' car consists. The 48' car consists are already widely available so we will not be producing these cars. I anticipate that some of the kits will be available by the NSE Convention in Kansas City in June. So an article on the various N Scale Thrall cars would be useful! The refrigeration units for the cars referred to above we have produced a Shapeways print to add them to the ends for those wanting to add the generation set APLX consists http://shpws.me/EZ2l Peter Peter Harris N Scale Kits www.nscalekits.com
