Today was a big day for me! After years of planning and months of preparation, I finally hosted my first operating session with 5 operators and a dispatcher. Since it's over the image limit for the forum, please see the post on my blog! https://kootenaymodelrailway.wordpr...ation-of-operations-on-the-kootenay-division/
Well done! Good of you to note the details of problems encountered. I've always liked timetable/train order systems vs. car card-on-the-scenery-solitaire. The "kangaroo pouches" make it work. Stand fast, Craigellachie!
Congratulations, Trainboy. Getting through that first session is a great achievement. They should become easier from now on. I'm also having problems with H16-44s. This afternoon, while preparing my layout for a session this coming Friday I found that TWO of my Atlas H16-44s have gone lame on one truck (each) since my last session two years ago. I'm almost certain that they each have a failed male universal joint. It's a problem that plagues those first-run Atlas H16-44s. Do you mean "switch-lists vs car-cards ..."? TT&TO will work with either, and probably every other car-forwarding system. Regards, Ron
Duhhhhh, yupyup, switch lists. This is what happens when I post in the dead of night (west coast time).
