    Greetings!

New to the board and thought I would take this opportunity to say hello. Although I have been buying trains over the years, I have just started seriously collecting the pieces for my future layout. As you can probably assume from where I'm posting, I'm a G-Scale enthusiast (though I have all scales) and have been since I bought my 1st LGB set while living in Germany. Since that 1st starter set my collection of cars and locomotives has grown randomly to include electric, steam and diesel locomotives from a variety of retailers around the globe.

So what to do with all this stuff? My plan is to run an assortment of lines in a garden railway network. This network will include a UP Big Boy freight line, BNSF Dash-9 (double) container line, UP SD-70 (triple) freight line, UP FAAB passenger line, and a Santa Fe FAAB passenger line. As for those LGB, Bachmann and the Lionel kits that I got over the years, I'll probably just keep them in the basement until I figure out how to incorporate them into my overall plan or just keep them there to collect dust. :tb-biggrin:

I look forward to learning as much as I can while here so thanks in advance for any and all help and advice.

Welcome to Train Board, I'm the G scale moderator and if you have any questions about the board or it's features please pm me. You will find alot of G scale info here on the board, especially if you are a USA Trains fan. There are alot of helpful people on baord in the G scale section.

Thanks! One burning question, is there a G-Scale UP Centennial out there to purchase and if so where?

If you are refering to the EMD DDA40X, then no. No manufacturer has made these commercially, however I have seen them kitbashed successfully and they work. The kitbashed ones that I have seen will not run on anything less than 20ft diameter curves. I only seen 2 kitbashed DDA40X locomotives, they are not common to kitbash as they are huge. I really don't see this one coming out in G scale any time soon commercially.
